Registration of Players :
All the participants in the
National Championship should be the registered with AICF.
Registration forms will be available at
the venue on payment of Rs. 250/- for the year 2009-2010. Those
already registered should produce the Proof. Unregistered player
will not be entitled to participate in the National Championship.
Tournament Regulations:
The Championship shall be played under the Laws
of Chess and FIDE Swiss Rules. Totally eleven rounds shall be
played. The Time Control is 90 minutes each for the first 40 moves
followed by 30 minutes for the rest of the game with an addition of
30 sec per move from move number one.
Tie Break:
Buccholz System will be followed.
Tournament Committee:
A Tournament Committee consisting of
Chief Arbiter,
Hon.
Secretary of AICF or his representative and the Organising Secretary
and one member of the host association shall be constituted before
the commencement of the championship.
Protests
:
Protests, if any, against the decision
of the Chief Arbiter, shall he made in writing with protest fee of
Rs.500 within 30 minutes of the occurrence of the incident. The
amount shall be refunded if the appeal is upheld.
Appeals Committee:
Before the commencement of the
Championship a three member Committee of Appeal with two reserves
shall be formed from amongst the senior participants at the player’s
meeting to be held at the venue on the inaugural day. All the three
members and reserves shall be from different states. No member of
the committee can vote on a dispute in which a player from his own
unit is involved and in such case the reserve member(s) shall take
his / their place in the committee.
Disqualification:
No participant will leave the venue
before the prize distribution function without the permission of the
Chief Arbiter. The participants disregarding this rule will be
suspended for one year.
Interpretation:
For interpretation of Rule(s) and
deciding any point not covered by rules, the decision of the
Tournament committee shall be final and binding. The Tournament
committee has every right to make any addition or amendment to these
rules without prior notice. However, such changes will be displayed
at the Championship venue.
