accompanying persons will have to make their own arrangements
for their stay.

ELIGIBILITY
1) Each
Affiliated State Association / Institution members of the All
India Chess Federation shall be entitled to send four entries.
If any association/ affiliated unit fails to send its full
quota, the vacancies so caused shall not be filled.
2) The host
shall be entitled to field two players.
3) The Top
players from the 43rd National "B" Chess Championship as per
AICF Rules.
4) The first
two from the National U-25 Chess Championship.
5) Current
National Junior Chess Champion.
6) The winner
and runner-up of the last National "B" Women's Chess
Championship.
7) Current
National Junior Girls Champion.
8) Current
World Champion in any category.
9) Current
Asian Junior Champion and first three from last Asian men Championship.
10) All
International Masters above 2350 rating as per July, 2006 list.
11) All Board
price winners of the latest National Team Chess Championship.
12) Four
players from the areas where no State Chess Association exists.
Players from such areas shall write to Mr. D. V. Sunder Hon.
Secretary, All India Chess Federation Hall No.82, Jawaharlal
Nehru Stadium, Chennai for their entries.
13) Any
player who donates Rs.6,000/- (Ex. National "A" players
Rs.4,200/-) special entries should come through the respective
State Chess Association / Affiliated Unit of the AICF. However,
AICF reserves the right to accept or reject such entries without
assigning any reason.
14) A nominee
of the Hon. Secretary of the All India Chess Federation.
15) All women
grandmasters.
16) If the
total number of entries is an odd number, then the host
association may add one more entry to make it an even number.

There will be
50% concession in entry fee for participants from Northern
Eastern States, Andaman& Nicobar, Jammu & Kashmir. Entries
should be received on or before 4th June 2007

500/- per participant till 10th June, 2007.No Entry
will be entertained after 10th June 2007.
TOURNAMENT REGULATIONS
The Championship
shall be played under the laws of "Chess and FIDE Swiss Rules.
Totally thirteen rounds shall be played unless otherwise decided
by the Tournament committee before the commencement of the Championship. The Time Control is
90 minutes for each player for the entire game with an
increment of 30 seconds per move.
The
Top Thirty players will qualify for next National ‘A’.

College rules and regulations are to be followed inside the
campus.
CHESS CLOCKS: Each participating associations must provide at least
two DGT chess clocks in working order for every four players
entered by them in Championship.
TIE BREAK: Progressive score tie breaking rules will be applied.
TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE: A Tournament Committee consisting of the Chief
Arbiter, Hon. Secretary of AICF or his representative, and the
Secretary and two members of the host association shall be
constituted before the commencement of the tournament.
PROTESTS: Protests, if any, against the decision of the Chief
Arbiter, shall he made in writing with protest fee: of
RS.500/-within one hour of the occurrence of the incident. The
amount shall be refunded if the appeal is upheld
APPEALS COMMITTEE: Before the commencement of the Championship a
five member
Appeals
Committee with two
reserves shall be formed from amongst the senior participants
and officials present at the Managers' meeting to be held at the
venue on the Inaugural day. All the five members and reserves
shall be from different states. No member of the committee can
vote on a dispute in which a player from his own unit is
involved and in such case the reserve member(s) shall take his /
their place in the committee.
DISQUALIFICATION: No participant will leave the venue before the
prize distribution function without the permission of the Chief Arbiter. The participants
disregarding this rule will be suspended for one year. '
INTERPRETATION: For interpretation of Rule(s) and deciding any point
not covered by rules, the decision of the tournament committee
shall be final and binding. The tournament committee has every
right to make any addition or amendment to these rules without
prior notice. However, such changes will be displayed at the
championship venue.
REGISTRATION OF PLAYERS: All the participants who participate in the
National Championship should get their names registered with
AICF. Registration forms will be available at the venue on
payment of RS.250/- for the year 2007-08. Those already
registered should produce Proof.
No unregistered
player will be entitled to participate in this National.
ARREARS: The Affiliated Association must clear all arrears of
affiliation fee/ tournament fee including those of current year,
at the time of submitting the entries. Otherwise the entries are
liable to be rejected.

It is about 10 Kms from the Dindigul Railway Station, It is
situated on the Palani- Dindigul Road.. College Buses will be
provided to pick all the participants and drop them back to the
Dindigul Railway Station. Hence Participants are requested to
inform us their travel Plan well in advance.
